Haloumi and Chicken Wrap

Our delicious Haloumi and Chicken is wrapped in a soft tortilla or flatbread, a dish that unites the savoury, the cheesy, and the fresh for a symphony of flavours and textures. Whether enjoyed for lunch or dinner, it’s a satisfying choice that will captivate your taste buds.

    Ingredients

    • 6 Mezé Wraps
    • 200g Mezé Haloumi fingers
    • 2 packets of Chicken Breasts, cut
    • into pieces
    • 3 cloves of Garlic
    • Dried Origanum
    • 1 Lemon
    • 1 Cucumber cut into strips
    • 1 small Butter Lettuce
    • Mezé Peppadew Pesto
    • Olive Oil

    Preparing the spices

    Season chicken with garlic, salt and pepper and a little olive oil.

    Heat a pan, once hot add some olive and grill the chicken strips. Do not put too many chicken strips in the pan at once, otherwise they boil.

    Once the chicken strips are golden brown and cooked through, add a squeeze of lemon and set aside.

    Heat the Mezé Wrap using the method on page 54. Set aside and keep warm in a closed pot.

    Cut the Haloumi fingers into smaller strips, place pieces onto kitchen towel to drain off any excess water.

    Take one Wrap and place on a board, spread a spoon of Pesto onto the Wrap. In the center place your sliced lettuce, cucumber, chicken and Haloumi.

    Roll up the Wrap firmly and enjoy! Keep some Peppadew Pesto on the side for extra dipping.
