Baked Camembert Parcel

Savour our Baked Camembert Parcel. A cosy, melty delight surrounds a wheel of Camembert cheese with a flaky pastry crust, creating a harmonious blend of textures and a warm burst of creamy flavour. It’s perfect for sharing and indulging with friends and family.

    Ingredients

    • 2 sheets of Phyllo Pastry
    • 4-5 tbsp Fig Jam
    • 100g Butter
    • 1 Mezé Camembert Cheese
    • Crackers for serving

    Preparing the spices

    Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

    Melt the butter in a small pan and set aside.

    Cut the Phyllo pastry sheets in half.

    Butter the baking tray. Place the first piece of Phyllo pastry directly onto the tray and brush with melted butter.

    Then place the next piece of Phyllo pastry on top, but at an angle, and brush with butter. Continue this with the next 2 pieces of Phyllo. Once you have placed all 4 pieces of Phyllo pastry it will almost form a star shape.

    In the centre of the Phyllo pastry place a tablespoon of fig jam, and then place the camembert on top. Place another 2-3 spoons of fig jam on top of the cheese.

    Gather up the pieces of Phyllo pastry and bring to the centre of the camembert. Drizzle some extra butter onto the parcel and then bake in the oven for 20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot with crackers.
