Chicken Harissa Mini Wraps

Our Chicken Harissa Pitas is a dish that celebrates the succulence of spiced chicken paired with the fiery notes of harissa. This culinary creation brings together the warmth of tender chicken, generously smothered in harissa sauce and tucked into fluffy pita pockets, offering a symphony of textures and tastes.

    Ingredients

    • 6 Mezé Pita Pockets
    • 2 packets of Chicken Breasts, cut
    • into pieces
    • 1 medium-sized Onion, chopped
    • 1 tin Tinned Tomato
    • 3-4 tbsp Mezé Harissa Paste
    • Salt and Pepper
    • 1 Avocado
    • Juice of 1 Lemon
    • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
    • 150g Crème Fraiche/Sour Cream

    Preparing the spices

    Heat some olive oil in a pan and gently sauté the onion.

    Once the onion has softened add the chopped tinned tomatoes and allow to cook for a few minutes on low heat.

    Stir in the Harissa paste and allow to gently reduce.

    In a separate pan, grill the chicken pieces and set aside.

    Once all the chicken is cooked, add it to the sauce. Peel the avocado and mash it into a bowl.

    Add 3 tablespoons Crème Fraiche, a generous squeeze of lemon and some salt and pepper.

    Heat the Pita and cut it in half and gently open it.

    Spoon on some avocado mix and spread it around the Pita.

    Add a serving of the chicken mix (make sure your sauce has reduced down enough and is not too runny) Spoon on some avocado mix and enjoy
